About Monica
Monica Leroux is a Licensed Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work from Pennsylvania Western University. She works with children, teens, and young adults on trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and life transitions. Trauma work is where her experience runs deepest. Before becoming a therapist she worked with unhoused people and in foster care. Having lived with her own anxiety, depression, and ADHD, she brings particular understanding to identity development and emotional growth. Her approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, drawing on EMDR, DBT, CBT, and play therapy.
She is LGBTQIA+ affirming. Monica grew up in Southern Colorado and moved to York, Pennsylvania with her spouse, still visiting family and friends out west. She loves live music of nearly any genre, hiking, camping, a slow day at the beach, and a good book when the weather turns. She is a Harry Potter fan, and her favorite pick-me-ups are iced coffee and ice cream.
