About Melanie
Melanie Bentzel is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master of Counseling Psychology from Towson University. She works with teens and adults carrying a history of trauma, especially attachment trauma. She also sees couples. Before outpatient work she spent her graduate years working at a domestic violence shelter, experience that still shapes her practice. She is trained in EMDR, and her style is eclectic, fitted to the person in front of her. Melanie is LGBTQIA+ affirming.
Melanie lives with her husband, their two sons, and two dogs. She unwinds by hiking, taking the dogs to the dog park, and checking out new coffee shops.
