About Brittany
Brittany Breighner is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from McDaniel College. She sees clients from age seven up, and helping teens and young adults through trauma is the work she loves most. PTSD is her strongest area, where she helps people take their power back from trauma and its symptoms. Living with chronic illness herself, she cares deeply about where physical and mental health meet. Trained in EMDR, she draws on DBT, parts work, mindfulness, and somatic approaches, and treatment always moves at the client's pace.
Before counseling, Brittany worked as a therapeutic horseback riding instructor and an employment training specialist. She is LGBTQIA+ affirming. Originally from Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, she settled near Hanover for her husband's family. Music is a giant part of her life, and she sings in three choral groups. She has two horses and a dog, unwinds with yoga, kickboxing, and podcasts, and her pick-me-up of choice is chocolate.
“You are allowed to want things to get better.”
