About Jennifer
Jennifer Godfrey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than twenty-five years in mental health. She works with children, teens, and adults on anxiety, PTSD, adjustment challenges, and autism spectrum needs. Autism is her strongest area, with more than fifteen years in that community and specialized training through the University of Vermont. She supports parents of children with special health needs too. Her approach rests on unconditional positive regard, drawing on IFS, CBT, somatic work, and solution-focused therapy. A 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, she brings in breathwork and mindfulness. She is a gender-affirming provider.
A first-generation college graduate from a working-class family, she earned her MSW from the University of Vermont and came back home to south central Pennsylvania. She loves her kids and her partner, weight lifting, and live music with room to dance. She is easily excited, especially by tacos and claw machines. She has crossed the country four times, three of them with a map, a pay phone, and a prayer.
“There is hope. It can get better. Asking for help is the first step.”
