About Clarissa
Clarissa Adams is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from McDaniel College. She works with children through older adults navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, personality disorders, and schizophrenia. Her approach blends CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and solution-focused techniques, built around each client’s goals.
Before counseling, Clarissa spent eight years as a special education teacher supporting students with emotional disabilities, autism, and learning disabilities. She has since worked in correctional mental health and brings particular focus to families of incarcerated individuals and to maternal health.
“If the worst case scenario is possible, then the best case scenario is just as possible too.”
