About Lisa
Lisa Imperiale is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than twenty-five years in practice. She earned her BS in Psychology from Temple University cum laude and her Master of Social Science from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Science. She works with teens and adults on mood disorders, addiction, and trauma. Dual-diagnosis addiction treatment and teenagers carrying complex trauma are where her experience runs longest. She also sees couples, from dating relationships through infidelity recovery. Her approach is psychotherapeutic and strength-based, drawing on CBT and DBT, and she is comfortable with silence, treating listening as part of the work.
Originally from West Philadelphia, Lisa started out in her early twenties at Eagleville Hospital in Eagleville, Pennsylvania. She put herself through undergraduate college and two graduate programs while working full time in the community. That experience grounds her work in connection, empathy, and support. She is LGBTQIA+ affirming and the proud mom of her two young adult children. She is happiest by the ocean with her blind old dog, her constant companion.
